Wolf-Dieter Beelitz

I'm Wolf-Dieter Beelitz and work as independent engineer. I studied and did my doctorate at the University of Karlsruhe. In the last years I developed machine vision systems, used by Bosch, Daimler, Siemens and smaller companies, most working for car manufacturers. Nearly all projects are made specific to the users need. Only a few solutions are used from more than one plant. Here the software is my main working subject, if wanted I do project management for the hole system too.

People Keith knows

John Fish: Friend who can be a CEO.

Simon Winder: PhD friend and MS-er who has been working on vision at MS research for 10 years. Looking to leave and wants to work on vision and robotics. He is busy now, but is interested in this. (He doesn't get GC.)

University of Washington vision lab: http://www.cs.washington.edu/homes/seitz/ According to Simon: "This guy is an expert on any problem to do with computer vision and is highly connected."

Phil Torr, Head of computer vision group at Oxford: http://cms.brookes.ac.uk/computing/groups.php?code=cvm. He wants £1000 per day, and to be convinced it is worth his time. (former MS-er friend)

EliK: PhD former MS-er friend who is retired but loves computers. He'd probably love to be given some isolated AI problem like control systems if we could think of one. If we had some skeleton in C#, he could just code it up himself, or produce pseudo-code for us.

Friend of friend: http://www.willowgarage.com/ Is co-founder and would be willing to collaborate and supposedly is doing simple vision stuff now.
